Yellowstone Park dining options run the gamut from full service dining rooms in historic lodges to fast food outlets that can get you in, out, and back on the road seeing the sites in just a few minutes.
A few rules are true wherever you may choose to eat.
Childrens menus are almost always available
Dress is casual (you are in the west after all)
Yellowstone Park restaurants are non-smoking
All restaurants are staffed by seasonal employees, many are college kids and outdoor enthusiasts. Try to be patient and understanding as service can sometime have more enthusiasm than polished service, even in the nicer places. If youre hoping for a truly gourmet meal, you might be better off dining in one of the gateway communities, especially Jackson Hole, Chico Hot Springs, and a few choice locations on the road between West Yellowstone, Big Sky, and Bozeman.

One last tip: Box Lunches. You can order them from any dining room or cafeteria in the park. Order them the night before, pick them up in the morning and youre ready to hit the trail or the road.
