Native cutthroat trout are the prize of Yellowstone's lakes and streams. Fishing permits are required ($10 for 10 days, $20 for the season) and can be purchased at ranger stations and other locations throughout Yellowstone National Park.
Fishing season begins around Memorial Day weekend and goes through the beginning of November. Check ranger stations for details.
